Prescription Charges

Last year Gordon Brown announced the abolition of prescription charges for cancer patients from 1st April this year. A review on plans to abolish charges for patients with long term conditions in England will report in the Autumn, the LINk will keep you informed. The review has brought responses from a wide range of organisations– who want charges abolished altogether. The LINk wanted to know what you think. A questionnaire was produced and disseminated throughout Warrington. Over 170 completed questionnaires were sent back, with the overwhelming majority believing that prescription charges for everyone should be abolished.

The full report is available to download below. It has now been sent to the Chair of the Prescription Charges Review Panel at the Department of Health, the Britich Medical Association, the Socialist Health Association, local MP's and National Voices. We will keep you informed regarding any feedback.
