Mental Health Work

The LINk have done some excellent work engaging and working with Mental Health services users and carers.

Returning to Work, Volunteering and Training

The LINk initially focused on Support Services available to people with Mental Health problems in returning to work, volunteering or training. Brochures were produced to help people access services, if you wish to see a copy please contact the LINk office. Click below for a summary of the work. Through this work the LINk is also involved in the Time to Change Campaign.

A&E Mental Health Liaison Service at Warrington Hospital

Report on A&E Liason Service 2010

The aim of this report is to record the issues raised with both the Warrington LINk and the Warrington Mental Health Forum around the Mental Health Liaison Service at Warrington Hospital A&E. The report aims to feed in recommendations about the service to Commissioners at NHS Warrington, staff at Warrington and Halton Hospital NHS Foundation Trust (WHHFT) and 5 Boroughs Partnership NHS Trust (5BPS). And also seeks clarity on the future funding of the service.

Mental Health Services Evaluation
An event was organised for service users, carers and representatives of organisations who work with mental health services users for them to discuss their experiences of mental health services in Warrington. The event was being organised in partnership with NHS Warrington’s Mental Health Commissioner and with involvement of the GP lead for Mental Health from the GP Consortium. The 4 areas the event focused on were:
• Access to services e.g. GP Knowledge, attitude, referral systems, flexibility of appointment etc
• Experience of the service once accessed
• Staff Attitude
• Outcomes
